Ellis Constructions was engaged to carry out a multi-stage transformation of a boutique apartment block perched on the cliffs of Sutherland Crescent, Darling Point. The scope included extensive remedial works across the building envelope, comprehensive waterproofing, structural upgrades, and enhancements to shared areas, all designed to preserve the building’s integrity while elevating its overall appearance and functionality.

In addition to base-building works, three individual apartments within the complex underwent full renovations. One unit required a complete internal strip-out and reconfiguration, with major structural modifications and material handling performed via barge due to the site’s steep, access-restricted location. The other two units were refurbished with high-end finishes and custom detailing, tailored to maximise light, space, and the extraordinary harbour views.

Despite the logistical and technical complexity of working across occupied residences and a cliffside site, Ellis Constructions delivered each stage with care, precision, and clear communication—transforming the block into a cohesive and elevated living environment.
