Born from the ashes of a devastating house fire in a heritage-listed dwelling, this project saw Ellis Constructions initially engaged in a consultative role – supporting the owners through a complex and protracted insurance settlement with a reluctant insurer. Simultaneously, a suite of design options was developed for Council lodgement, each tailored to potential outcomes of the insurance negotiations.

Thanks to a favourable resolution and strategic persistence, the owners emerged well-resourced and ready to pursue a significantly enhanced home – one that honours the site’s past while embracing a bold new future.
